| Coggon Harvest Home Photo Contest 2008 The second annual Coggon Photo Contest will be held June 6 & 7 during the 2008 Coggon Harvest Home. Photo judging will be held at the Lower Level Building (or at a location to be announced prior to event) located at the SW corner of the Main Square in Coggon. Judging will be at 7pm on Friday. Judging is NOT open to public viewing. Only committee members are allowed in building during the judging. Following judging, photos will be available for public viewing until 10pm. Photos will again be available to view on Saturday from 2pm until 9pm. There will be two judges (Hall Photo of Marion) for this year’s contest. All categories will have People’s Choice voting that does not count towards prizes. Categories for the 2008 contest will be as follows: · Architecture · Curves · Wildlife There will be two alternative categories that are open to all. These photos will not be a part of the two officials judging. There will be people’s choice judging with top voted pictures being posted by 4pm on Saturday. · · Entrants need not be from Coggon or the immediate area · Pictures need be at least 5” X 7” in size but no larger than 8” X 10”. They need NOT be framed or matted, although you may if you so choose. · No slides or digital presentations · Photos need to have been taken by the submitting individual · All pictures need be individual, not in a collage (the Picture Story category may be a collage) · All ages will participate in the same group · Only one winning photo per person per category · One person can enter multiple photos per category · Entry of photos shall be at Ellis Implement in Coggon on the two Saturday mornings prior to the dates of the Coggon Harvest Home. · Pictures need be picked up at Ellis Implement in Coggon within three weeks following the event. They must be picked up on Saturday mornings only · All photo entries shall be tastefully done. Photo entry shall be at Committees discretion · This an amateur contest. No paid professional photographer (not over ½ your income comes from photography) or photographs may enter · Entrants name shall be on the back right upper corner of each photo along with a contacting telephone number, along with total number of photos submitted.( Example: 1 of 5 or 4 of 5) · All photos need be taken within the past two years · After judging all photos will be displayed with photographers name attached to front (supplied by committee). These prizes may be picked up following the judging or at Ellis Implement at any time during regular business hours. 1st $25.00 2nd $15.00 3rd $10.00 Totaling $150.00 in cash prizes.
